It’s your birthday. And you’re thinking.. “how do I get Siri to Sing Me Happy Birthday?”. Alexa has it sorted. And Google. Even Cordana dabbles in a little birthday song singing.
Siri, however, has been a bit slow on the uptake at singing lessons.
The sad news is, Siri won’t personally sing you Happy Birthday. But there ARE ways you can use Siri for Happy Birthday singing. And the results are far better than any singing robot!

Can Siri sing a song?
Happy Birthday To You was protected under copyright law in the USA and UK for the first 6 years of Siri’s life. This meant Siri couldn’t sing you Happy Birthday without Apple having to pay Warner Chappell each and every time. Luckily, in 2016 Happy Birthday To You was rightfully placed into the public domain, losing Warner Chappell about US$5,000 per day (US$2 million per year) in royalties for the song. Unfortunately this hasn’t resulted in Apple adding a version of Siri singing Happy Birthday. Much to the dismay of Siri / Birthday Song fans globally.
The good news is, Siri has had a couple of basic singing lessons, in time for a certain AI assistant’s 10th birthday celebrations back in 2021. Be warned, more work needs to be done in the tone / melody department.
